NOVA Power Solutions Provides Power to Perimeter Defense
Wins Follow-on Contract for Next Generation Program

Sterling, VA – July 27, 2010 – NOVA Power Solutions, a woman-owned, veteran-founded small business, has been awarded a contract in support of the US Air Force’s, Force Protection Security System (FPS2) program.

NOVA Power Solutions (NOVA) was selected as the vendor of choice to provide its SRNDTI high performance tactical Uninterruptable Power Supply to maintain power for critical equipment.  The SRNDTI provided by NOVA enables the deployed war fighter with reliable power in tactical environments. The rugged physical attributes, ease of use and proven reliability of the SRNDTI make it ideal for use in challenging, mission critical environments.

The FPS2 contract provides for enhancing force and asset protection through the use of Integrated Base Defense (IBD) capabilities at fixed and tactical sites around the world. The ultimate goal is to provide the Security Forces with the capability to “See First, Understand First, and Act First.” Through this contract, users will have access to systems and equipment that can be integrated to protect everything from small tactical units and assets to large fixed site base-wide mission areas.
