Sterling, VA – June 6, 2010 – As part of LTI’s Community Outreach Program, 21 members of Team LTI participated in the company’s 2nd Annual, Walk for the Cure in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Held at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, VA, this annual walk strives to provide valuable funding to JDRF International, the leading charitable funder and advocate of diabetes research worldwide.
LTI participants pledged to raise awareness and solicited support from the community to meet their fundraising goals. Additionally, funds raised by the LTI program were matched by the company, resulting in a total contribution of over $2,455.
“This disease touches so many of us - both in the community and within our own walls,” said Marlo Swanson, director of Human Resources. “We are fortunate to be in a position to help contribute to this good cause –both financially as well as through our participation. Special thanks to our Team Captain, Dave Muirhead for leading this year’s charge.”
