LTI DataComm Awarded BPA by Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) for Wireless LAN Solutions and Services

Sterling, VA – March 30, 2009– LTI DataComm, a woman-owned small business, has been awarded a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to provide secure wireless LAN solutions and services to the BLS. The BPA was developed to support the design and installation of an independent wireless local area network (WLAN) throughout BLS’s national and regional offices supporting over 5,500 users. This program leverages wireless technologies to revolutionize BLS’s current networking environment by providing expansive wireless mobility to their users and guests, all while maintaining stringent security requirements through wireless intrusion detection/prevention (WIDS/WIPS) solutions.

LTI DataComm has extensive experience regarding Federal IT security concerns, requirements and regulations. LTI provides intelligently engineered wireless solutions to meet the varied needs of federal organizations’ secure networking requirements while complying with federal directives. Layer 2 Encryption and a comprehensive FIPS 140-2 Validated 802.11i offering brings LTI’s solution into compliance with important government regulations like Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8100.2 and Federal CIO directives.  This technology also provides FIPS 140-2 security to wired and mobile devices that do not support 802.11i.
