LTI DataComm Selected for Boeing’s Mentor Protégé Program
Partnership Strengthens Company’s Position to Support SBInet Program

STERLING, Va., December 3, 2007 – LTI DataComm today announced that it has been selected by Boeing to participate in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Mentor-Protégé program where Boeing will provide hands-on guidance and development assistance to enhance the company’s capabilities to compete more successfully in Government contracts.

"We are proud to share this Mentor-Protégé agreement with LTI DataComm," said  Felicia Martin-Parham, SBInet Small Business Liaison Officer. "Mentor-Protégé agreements are a priority for Boeing because they promote the growth of suppliers and ultimately strengthen our business."

The DHS Mentor-Protege Program was created to encourage major defense contractors to provide developmental assistance to enterprises that qualify as small disadvantaged businesses.  LTI DataComm has met all the criteria of Boeing’s Department of Homeland Security Mentor Protégé Program and will be part of their training curriculum for procurement, regulations, security, and other elements of government-based programs.  As one of only 10 IT companies selected to participate in this program, LTI DataComm will be positioned as a subcontractor on the multi-billion dollar border security program known as SBInet, as well as other Boeing-led programs.

“We are honored to have been selected by Boeing to be a part of the Mentor-Protégé Program,” says Karl Hantho, Director of LTI DataComm. “Boeing is a world class organization and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to learn from them as we strive to fully develop our quality management processes and business development capabilities. The Mentor-Protégé program will mutually benefit both companies as we continue to seek new growth opportunities with Boeing”.
