LTI DataComm Grows USAF 2GWLAN Subcontractor Contract through General Dynamics IT

Sterling, VA – November 01, 2006– LTI DataComm, a veteran-owned small business, as a subcontractor to General Dynamics IT (GDIT) on the NETCENTS program, has been providing services to install DoD/USAF approved wireless networks on numerous CONUS Air Force bases.  The chosen solution affords the USAF the ability to easily work from their flight lines in a secure and mobile environment, as well as provide AF personnel the ability to bring their work with them within targeted install locations on base.  Period of performance is November 2006 through early 2010.

"LTI's extensive capabilities and proven past performance in the area of wireless services will allow us to provide significant support to GDIT enabling the U.S. Air Force with a cutting-edge WLAN solution." said John Hall, LTI DataComm's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "As a small business it is particularly satisfying for LTI to be acknowledged by a company like GDIT for our expertise within one of our core practice areas. We are extremely proud to be amongst a team of such large and prestigious organizations as have been brought together by GDIT to fulfill this mission.”

LTI DataComm was selected by GDIT to provide design, engineering, installation, and project management services to assist with the implementation of a Second-Generation Wireless LAN (2GWLAN) solution for the U.S. Air Force Combat Information Transport System (CITS) program. As part of the General Dynamics team, LTI is helping to deploy a secure, scalable, and easy-to-maintain second generation WLAN which seamlessly integrates within any base, major command (MAJCOM), or Air Force enterprise network.

“Through our continued work with the Air Force, LTI has been an integral part of the 2nd Gen Wireless Program” stated Michael Meyers, VP of Managed Solutions. “Starting from just a handful of installations, we’ve consistently demonstrated our expertise and advanced integration capabilities- leading LTI to be one of the main secure wireless partners within this contract.”
