Contract Description

The scope of the BPA is to allow BLS direct access to the products and support needed to design and install an independent wireless large area network (WLAN). The WLAN will connect BLS’s national and regional offices and support over 5,500 users.  By utilizing the BPA, BLS will have a direct channel to purchase wireless LAN hardware, software, peripherals, services and internal systems components while reducing the administrative costs of acquisition.  In addition, BLS will be able to further decrease costs, reduce paperwork and save time by utilizing the direct channel of the BPA.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has awarded LTI DataComm a Blanket Purchasing Agreement (BPA) for LTI to provide secure wireless LAN solutions and services for up to $500,000.00.  In the spirit of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act, the BPA BLS and LTI enter into a cooperative agreement which allows any BLS Contracting Officer the ability to directly order secure wireless LAN solutions without including a third party..
